5 things you can do to improve your health
Big changes often come from little steps. so with that in mind, let’s do a little experiment. Below I have listed 5 things that you can do to improve your health. Try to implement 1 of these things every week and see how you feel in 6 weeks…
Use Flaxseed Oil over your Salad
In order to create a healthy balance for optimal health we need a combination of Omega 3 and Omega 6. Unfortunately we aren’t getting enough Omega 3 in our diet. Flaxseed oil is very rich in Omega 3 and it will help reduce many things like joint pain, heart disease and menstrual pain to name just a few.
Reduce the amount of chemicals you eat
The last 50 years haven’t been good to our food industry. Genetically modified food, pesticides, insecticides, MSG and more crap like this is added to our foods. The body doesn’t know what to do with all this crap and will store it in fat to reduce the toxication of the body. These chemicals are believed to be the most common cause of cancers and diseases today. Always wash your food, try to eat organic and stay away from processed food.
Increase the steps you do every day
The absolute minimum of activity we need is 30 minutes of moderate intensity exercise a day. This comes down to 10.000 steps a day (about 10 km). Currently we are walking between 1000 and 3000 steps a day on average!! so let get out our walking shoes and step it up.
Perform full body exercises
Forget about abdominal work to burn fat. The stomach muscles are too small to burn a serious amount of calories, they don’t burn fat around the stomach and you won’t see a six-pack because it is still covered by fat. Perform exercises that move your full body like push up, squats, lunges and pull ups. These great exercises will train bigger muscles groups that will stimulate and increase your metabolism allowing you to burn more calories daily.
Train according to your posture
Most people will have rounded shoulders (Meaning that your chest muscles are stronger and tighter than your back muscles). This is because we are always hunched fore over. Always do twice as many back exercises than you do chest exercises. You need to do even more back training and chest-stretching if you want to correct your posture. By doing so you will have better recovery, more power in all your movements and less back pain and headaches
